Knee Pain
How Physiotherapy, Remedial Massage and Exercise can help
Our team are available to help with all types of knee pain, discomfort or injury. We offer in-clinic treatment and use of our gym facilities, along with creating exercise programs that can be completed at home.
Your Physiotherapist can tape your knee to provide more support for the joint and offer brace options if it would be of benefit to your condition.
Your Remedial Massage therapist can reduce tension & strain in the surrounding muscles affected.
Our Exercise Physiologist can create a personalised exercise program for you to rebuild your strength and mobility in the joint.
More Info on Knee Pain:
Common causes of knee pain could be from trauma, such as an injury, or poor control, tending to occur over a longer period of time.
Trauma: for example a direct blow to the knee during sports or sudden twisting with bending.
Common injuries for the knee include meniscus injuries, anterior cruciate ligament (ACL) injuries, posterior cruciate ligament (PCL) injuries, lateral collateral ligament (LCL) or medial collateral ligament (MCL) injuries.
Poor control: this can be due to the knee muscles (quadriceps, hamstrings, calf muscles) being weak. It can also be secondary to poor hip control or foot/ankle stiffness.
We offer treatment for the following conditions:
runners knee
osteoarthritis
bakers cyst
bursitis of knee
joint pain
stiff knee
patellar tendonitis
cartilage damage
ACL tear
