Led by our experienced Physiotherapist, Laura Lok, our Head 2 Toe Clinical Exercise classes offer a safe and effective building block to get you back to where you want to be physically.
What is Clinical Exercise?
Clinical Exercise is an exercise class utilising specialised equipment to facilitate and support an individuals needs. For example, specific weight support for someone who has had knee surgery.
By using our reformer pilates machines Laura is able to provide one on one support, instruction and guidance tailored to suit your individual needs. This ensures the exercises and movements you are doing are only going to improve your condition and any past injuries or current issues you have will only be positively affected.
Why is Clinical Exercise a good choice for me?
Clinical Exercise has been proven to assist in improving shoulder, hip and lower back pain, as well as alleviating symptoms associated with conditions such as headaches and pelvic dysfunction. Additionally, it has been proven to benefit athletic performance, pregnancy and post-natal reconditioning.
What can I expect from a Clinical Exercise class?
Head 2 Toe Clinical Exercise classes are either run individually, as a duo, or as a group of 3 participants.
We recommend everyone completes an individual session with Laura, before proceeding on to our group sessions. This ensures you are confident with the reformer pilates machines and you receive the one on one attention for the initial induction to the exercises.
Many clients continue on with the individual sessions, however we do recommend progressing to our group sessions.
In a Duo or Small Group class you may complete the same exercises sometimes and completely different exercises other times, during the class. This is because the classes are tailored to what you need and while we can all benefit from similar exercises, sometimes limitations may mean you’ll be given an alternative exercise to complete.
By keeping the classes small it ensures Laura is able to work on your exercise goals and keep you on track.
How long is a Clinical Exercise Session?
Classes are run for 40mins
Our Duo or Small Group classes are available at select times throughout the week. This allows you to get into an established routine to help achieve your exercise goals and ensures you stay on track to accomplish them.
